Idea: Automatic Plant Waterer
User: My plant-loving housemate
Why choose this project?
My housemate owns several plants but is irresponsible and forgets to water her plants properly so they often die. She also goes home frequently so she is not at the apartment to take care of her plants. She needs some way to water her plants on time without her physical presence.
Why an automatic plant waterer?
This product has a counter/timer that can be set to a certain time so that the plants are watered at the right time. When the time hits, the pipes open up to release sufficient water. This product is convenient because the user can easily program when they want the plants to be watered and the product will do the rest of the work.
What makes keeping plants alive so difficult?
Plant care requires lots of attention and knowledge about plants to ensure that plants are watered at the right frequency. Plant care also requires the grower to be responsible enough to water the plants consistently. Plant care also requires the grower to always be physically present to water the plants.
